He is professor of composition and chamber music at the Academy of Music in Barcelona (Escola superior de música de Catalunya) and one of the most important contemporary composers and guitarists from Catalunya - Feliu Gasull. He has composed numerous works for guitar, choir, orchestra and chamber music ensembles. He has also worked with the following orchestras: Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya and the Nieum Ensemble. Feliu Gasull is a composer of new music, whose compositions reflect the Catalan and southern Spanish cultures. His works have their own unique language.
Duo Joncol & Kurt Fuhrmann
In addition to his studies of jazz drums, his particular interest is in percussion instruments from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Kurt Fuhrmann came into contact with instruments such as the Cajón, African water drums or the Darbuka drum from the Arab world. In 2008, Kurt Fuhrmann was selected by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to work in Madras on India's percussion techniques.
A dancer who is a master of classical Spanish dance as well as contemporary dance and flamenco. The tradition of Spanish dance is part of the Vanessa González García family. As children of a flamenco dancer and flamenco singer, she and her sister grew up on stage. In 2008, she already performed together with the duo Joncol at the Mediterranean Biennale.
Silvia Peréz Crúz is one of the newcomers to the Catalan metropolis. She inspires in both flamenco and jazz with her expressiveness and her interpretations. Meanwhile she is known beyond the borders of Catalunya and can be found on the European stages with different formations.
